SUDS has been invited to take part in a concert at Hathersage parish church on Saturday 1st July 2023. The concert is being given by the New Chamber Choir in support of the Campaign to Protect Rural England, and we have been asked to perform some readings / dramatic extracts. With a summer theme you can perhaps expect passages from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, other poetry of the period and some modern readings.
📅 Save the date! 2023 is Shakespeare Year, and so our next production in the autumn will be another well-known play of his - Macbeth! 🗡️ Directed by Ian Gledhill, at Sheffield University Drama Studio from 8th to 11th November 2023.
Congratulations to everyone involved in last week's 'Romeo & Juliet'! 🥳 We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Directors, cast and crew gave us a truly memorable production that was full of energy and bursting with colour. A beautifully choreographed dance scene, exciting sword fights, intense emotion when you could have heard a pin drop in the audience, and some nice comic touches, all made for a great evening in the theatre. 👌
