Our Production for Autumn 2019 is A Woman of No Importance by Oscar Wilde, directed by Ian Gledhill.
“Nothing succeeds like excess”
The next production by SUDS, directed by Ian Gledhill and to be staged from Wednesday November 13 – Saturday November 16 2019, is A Woman of No Importance by Oscar Wilde.
Oscar Wilde’s most fascinating play sparkles with all his customary wit, yet bristles with scathing satire of the Victorian upper class.
First performed in 1893, A Woman of No Importance gave a new theatrical voice to women marginalised by a conservative and patriarchal society. Its powerful message still resonates today.
